Joy by Jessy dance fitness classes for adults have a focus on having fun and feeling good. They are inclusive, weight neutral and beginner friendly.

Come along and move your body joyfully in a low pressure and non-judgmental environment. Plenty of options will be provided throughout so that you can choose what feels right for your body and take things at your own pace.

Classes take place on Tuesdays at 6:30pm at Panshanger Community Centre, 24 Hardings, Welwyn Garden City AL7 2EJ. (see dates below)

Price: £8 pay as you go (£4 for your first class)

There are also occasional special themed classes. (more details here)

My classes are for you if any of the following are true:

We’re joining Let's Dance! and you are cordially invited to get involved. This fantastic initiative is spearheaded by Angela Rippon and will take place from 8 March 2026.

Angela’s journey on Strictly Come Dancing highlighted to her the incredible benefits of regular dancing, and now she’s on a mission to get the whole nation dancing.

Now, dance organisations, charities, health professionals, community groups and celebrities are getting together with just one objective – to get more people dancing.

Let’s Dance - Free Taster Event

Our taster event will feature 3 different styles of dance fitness class. We’d love for you to join in all sections but you’re free to pick and choose. You can also stop and rest as much as you want during each part.

Part 1 - Joyful Dance Fitness Routines

We will dance through a selection of choreographed dance fitness routines that are used in the regular Tuesday class. You’ll be talked through the moves used in each routine so that you can have a short practice and try out some different options before being guided through the full routine to music.

Part 2 - Aerobics with a dancey twist

We will work through a short aerobics style routine. You’ll be shown four aerobics moves that we will cycle through and build on throughout the session to give them a dancey feel.

Part 3 - Freestyle dance party with prompts

This part has no set choreography but you will be given some prompts and ideas of how to move to each track. You’ll be free to copy the instructor or someone else or make up you’re own moves.
